Five Star Cleaners is where excellence in dry cleaning meets unparalleled customer service. With 20 convenient locations across San Antonio, you’re never far from top-tier care for your wardrobe. We offer convenient drive-thru and self-service kiosks at specific locations.
Who We Are
We are a family-owned business, combining the mindset of a traditional Mom & Pop establishment with the professional-minded mentality of a bigger shop. In 2020, Nicolas and Jose decided to invest in the United States after having taken over and successfully running their father’s 30 dry cleaning locations in Bolivia. In 2021, they purchased Dutch Boy Cleaners, a staple chain of dry cleaners in the greater San Antonio area. They wanted to instill services and techniques used in Bolivia to become more quality-oriented, something they have continued to this day. In 2023 they purchased Five Star Cleaners, expanding their dry cleaning services to 20 locations in San Antonio. They hope to continue along this path, setting a high bar for the standard of quality, and look forward to many years of continued service to the San Antonio area.

The dry cleaning process is similar to washing but with a few key differences:
1. Clothes are first separated by weight, finish, and color to ensure optimal cleaning.
2. Garments are then placed in machines that resemble large front-load washers. However, instead of water, a specialized cleaning solvent is used. This solvent is continuously recycled through filtering and distillation, making the process efficient and sustainable.
3. After cleaning, each piece is inspected for any remaining spots that need attention. Clothes are then steam-finished to remove wrinkles and ensure they look perfect before being returned to you.
Our dry cleaning process is designed to gently and effectively clean your garments, extending their life and maintaining their pristine condition.
While there are many reasons to send your garments to a professional dry cleaner, the most important one is to prolong the life of your clothes while ensuring they continue to look their best. Dry cleaning solvent is much gentler than water on your garments, preventing the wear and tear that home washing machines can cause. It also cleans grease and dirt much more effectively than water. Trusting your clothes to our expert staff not only keeps them looking impeccable but also significantly extends their lifespan, giving you confidence in every wear.
Scheduling a pick-up and delivery with us is easy! Your designated days are based on your location, either Monday and Thursday or Tuesday and Friday. Simply contact us to find out your specific schedule, then arrange a convenient pick-up time.
